Why is my new AC leaking water inside?
- Nearly always the condensate drain rather than a refrigerant fault — insufficient fall, or a blockage. In humid climates the volume of condensate is high enough that a marginal drain backs up into the indoor unit. It is a cheap fix that gets expensive if it soaks the wall first.

Does the pipe run really change the price?
- Yes, materially. Pipe, insulation and cable are priced by the metre, and a long run also affects performance. Have it measured before the quote rather than estimated, so the figure you fund is the figure you pay.
